NATIONAL PROTEST ON SAT 23rd MAY OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL @ 12.00
Following the announcements of
*Closure of 25 beds with effect from May 2009
*The hospital is planning to close approximately a further 20
beds in the summer months Jul/Aug 2009
*Reduce out patient appointments by 15% i.e. 8,483 attendances,
1,100 admissions
*Close one theatre in July-Dec 2009
*Close two theatres for the summer months Jul/Aug 2009
*Grant unpaid leave to staff who have expressed a voluntary
interest for July/Aug
*Temporary/agency staff contracts will cease.
